Delivery
All items sent from our Dunstable depot are despatched via DPD Local, DPD UK, DHL Parcels or Parcelforce, and will require a signature on delivery. Items sent directly from a manufacturer or distributor may use a different carrier service.
If no one is available to sign for the consignment a calling card will normally be left, with details on how to arrange re-delivery or when & where you can collect your consignment. Items cannot be left unattended, but you can nominate a different delivery address from your billing address at the time of ordering, eg. neighbour, family or work address.
**Shipping to EU**
Since Brexit our customers in Ireland must now pay: Import Brokerage Fee of 6.15 euro for each shipment, the import duties (if applicable), and VAT (if you do not have a deferred VAT arrangement with Revenue IE), to our carrier, which is DPD, before you receive your goods. Once we ship your parcel, DPD IE will contact you for payment of the above. Once paid, DPD will deliver the goods to you.
Import Duties vary depending on the product category and country of origin. The duty percentage is lowest on a product made in UK or EU countries. As a general rule if Cardno is the manufacturer of the products there will be no duty to pay. Note: There are no Import Duties payable on a shipment value of less then 150 euros.
Please note that if you do not pay these charges within 5 days of being contacted by DPD, the goods are returned to Cardno Ltd. In the event that goods are returned to us the original carriage fee will not be refunded and there will be a surcharge of £30 which will be deducted from the refund of the goods.
Shipping Charges
For convenience, we have split our shipping charges into different zones, based on postcode and delivery time, for details see the table below.
Zone 1 & 2
1kg Express Pack: £8.70 (£10.44 inc VAT)
5kg Express Pack: £9.70 (£11.64 inc VAT)
Parcels up to 20kg: £12.50 (£15 inc VAT) - for each additional 5kg add £2.60 (£3.12 inc VAT)
Zone 3 & 4
Parcels up to 20kg: £19.50 (£23.40 inc VAT) - for each additional 5kg add £4.30 (£5.16 inc VAT)
Zone 5
Parcels up to 20kg: £21 (£25.20 inc VAT) - for each additional 5kg add £4.50 (£5.40 inc VAT).
Zone 6
Parcels up to 30kg: £23.40 (£28.08 inc VAT) per parcel.
Southern Ireland
Parcels up to 30kg: £29.70 (includes EU Clearance fee).

Despatch Date
Where possible, we despatch orders received before 3pm Mon-Fri, on the same day. Orders received after 3pm will normally be despatched the following working day.
Since we manufacture a lot of the products we sell, many are made to order so it isn't always possible to despatch the same or next day.
Please take note of any Availability Notice in the item description, this will advise you of longer lead times on certain products, and give an indication of when you could expect them to be despatched.
If you need something urgently, or quicker than the Availability lead times, please contact us directly and we will deal with your order over the phone.
Our Shipment Policy
When you place an order, we'll estimate despatch and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the delivery options you choose.
We use third party transport companies for the delivery of items. Goods despatched by Cardno Ltd remain our responsibility until the delivery is made and the customer has signed for the goods. Your contract is with Cardno Ltd and not our transport companies.
Damage caused 'in transit' must be communicated by the customer to Cardno Ltd. Cardno Ltd will then make appropriate arrangements with our courier to retrieve and replace goods.
Our Returns Policy
You can return your purchase to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. We do not refund the carriage amount.
IMPORTANT - We can only accept items back that are in a condition for re-sale. This includes but is not limited to; being un-worn, with tags, no scratches or marks etc. The same guidelines apply where-in your item is delivered in a box eg safety boots. We reserve the right to decline returns which do not adhere to our guide lines and/or discretion with no exchange, credit or refund.
In the event of sending you a damaged or defective item, you must advise Cardno Ltd immediately and return the item to Cardno Ltd within 30 days. Cardno Ltd will send out a replacement once the damaged or defective item has been returned.
This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Your Statutory Rights
Cooling-off Period - Purchases
At Cardno Ltd we want you to be delighted every time you do business with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items. That's why under our returns policy, if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item.
By law, customers in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. This applies to all of our standard stock products. It does not apply to any item that has been purchased or manufactured for a specific customer requirement, this includes, but is not limited to, any item that carries an Availability notice (located on the product information page, between the product title and product price).
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.
Products Your Business Can Rely On
All of our slings, wire rope assemblies, chain assemblies and block & tackle are supplied with the appropriate certification, in compliance with LOLER regulations and British/European standards.
Each product is labelled or stamped with a unique identification number, which appears on the certification documentation. This allows for a traceable audit trial, from component/assembly manufacture through to the end user of the product.
Cardno takes certification very seriously. Proof of source is extremely important to our business and we do our utmost to pass on this importance to our clients businesses.
